The king of salmon

July is the month when king salmon run up the nearby Tatshenshini River, where the Lodge’s jet-boat is waiting to ferry you to the best pools or take you to the Takanne River. In the main river you will lure the big fighting fish with fly. Fly only is the rule on the Takanne in July. When the coho and sockeye salmon run in September, good sport can be had on both fly and spinner.
